How do I get a mentor?
Read our about page and mentors page for more about our mission and also about the people that are currently serving as mentors. Email us @planomusicmentors@gmail.com, and we will respond within 2-4 days. Make sure you contact the person that plays the same instrument as you, and if you have any individual questions, feel free to contact the mentors with their personal emails or phone numbers. We're here to help!

Where do I meet my mentor?
If you are a current middle school student, we will let you know when we start the club during the school year, and we will meet at Plano Senior High School after school for 20 minutes each student. We will meet every other week in the band hall. If you are a current high school student, we will meet at the mentor's designated address, which will be given through email or phone calls (directly), and lessons will be about 30 minutes long on Saturday afternoons. We will plan to meet with a mentor twice a month. The date, time, and location of the lesson will be provided by the mentor and we will accomodate to your busy schedule!

Do we have to be advanced enough to be mentored? Can a beginner do lessons too?
No! All levels of musicians are welcome to study with our amazing mentors! Each mentor goes through a selective process so we make sure they are the great musicians that are willing to help others who are passionate about music as well! We can assign you a mentor, and you can always switch around between different people for fun. We welcome you to our program!
